Ms. Buchanan serves as the deputy secretary for policy and strategic planning at the California Health & Human Services Agency (CalHHS). Prior to joining CalHHS, she served at the assistant director of housing and homelessness for the California Department of Social Services. Ms. Buchanan previously worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services as the deputy director for the Office of Diversion and Reentry and for the Housing for Health Division.
