The Milbank Memorial Fund has begun recruitment for the 2024-2025 cohorts of the Milbank Memorial Fund’s two leadership programs for legislative and executive branch state, large-county, and large-city government officials who are committed to improving population health:

These programs, all costs of which are covered by Milbank, provide a unique opportunity for participants to engage with colleagues from across the country, as well as with Milbank’s broader state leadership network; enhance their leadership skills; learn from experts about pressing health policy topics; and improve their capacity to advance population health reforms in their communities.

With the goal of creating cohorts that engender learning, Milbank is seeking applicants for both groups who have:

  • Diverse backgrounds and lived experience, notably including leaders of color, leaders with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community
  • Interest in acquiring new knowledge and sharing their own subject matter expertise on key areas of population health policy and program administration
  • Commitment to achieving health equity, with a focus on communities of color
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm about engaging with others
  • Interest in self-reflection and development of new insights

We invite qualified government officials to apply or to inform exceptional candidates in their state. The application deadline is June 15, 2024. See the MFP and ELP pages for more information on the programs and how to apply.
