Rebecca (Becky) Buhner serves as the Deputy Director and Chief of Staff at Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA), under the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. In her role, Becky partners with the DMHA Director to drive the division’s mission and vision, ensuring that strategic goals are met with precision and dedication. Becky leads a dynamic team of 88 employees, with seven direct reports managing critical areas such as diversity, equity and inclusion, housing, workforce, forensic treatment, quality assurance, certification, data systems and strategy, recovery supports and services, crisis continuum and certified community behavioral health clinics. Known for her expertise on system strategy and the execution of complex cross-system initiatives, Becky’s leadership is instrumental in advancing the division’s objectives and enhancing the effectiveness of mental health and addiction services in Indiana.
