State Senator, South Dakota
Sydney Davis is South Dakota’s District 17 Senator. Raised in rural South Dakota as a fourth- generation cattle producer, she pursued a career in health care as a certified registered nurse anesthetist to give back to her community. In her two terms in the state Senate, she has been an advocate for rural health care and economic development, serving as Vice-Chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and on the Senate Education and Senate State Affairs Committees. Her efforts focus on supporting health care providers in small communities, enhancing daycare and educational opportunities for children, and investing in teachers and education. A working mother of three, Sydney and her husband continue their agricultural legacy on their family farm.
