Alex Reger, PhD, has spent over a decade committed to public policy. Prior to serving as the Cost Growth Benchmark Program Director at the Connecticut Office of Health Strategy, he served as a nonpartisan Principal Legislative Analyst for the Connecticut General Assembly. There, he specialized in the health insurance and healthcare sector, helping inform legislation on its route to becoming law. He believes that good information promotes good policy, and transparency serves as the bedrock of the political process. Alex earned his Doctorate degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He spends his free time with his family, a good book, or on the soccer field.
