Ann Monroe served for 15 years as the founding president of the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York. She was previously the director of the Quality Initiative at the California Health Foundation and senior vice president of Blue Cross of California. Today, Ms. Monroe works with organizations to improve their governance and programming for people of all ages and is a master trainer for the Reframing Aging national initiative. She is a member of the Executive Council for New York AARP, sits on multiple boards and has a gubernatorial appointment to New York’s Public Health and Health Planning Council. She lives in Buffalo and has two daughters, two grandchildren and is the servant of two dogs.
