Charlie Conrad is a fourth-generation Oregonian and a proud third-generation Oregon State University graduate. He has been a public employee for the past 25 years, with 15 years in law enforcement. He was elected to the Oregon State Legislature in 2022 as the HD 12 representative. He served on multiple committees: Behavioral Health/Health Care, Judiciary, Emergency Management/Vets/General Government, and Public Safety Ways and Means Sub-committee. Additionally, he was appointed to numerous extra-legislative committees, task forces, and commissions. One area of interest is improving the behavioral health system, particularly for juveniles and rural communities. He recently graduated from the Milbank Emerging Leaders Program and has started a coalition of current and former state legislators, organizations, and people to counter extremism.
