Daniel Teixeira da Silva

Daniel Teixeira da Silva, MD, MSHP, is a consultant for Viaduct Consulting and the medical director in the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. He received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency training in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During his training, he completed fellowships in HIV prevention research, clinical medical ethics, and primary care leadership, as well as clinical rotations in county jails. He completed a Master of Science in Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania in the National Clinician Scholar Program, where his focus was correctional healthcare. His work for the Milbank Memorial Fund was not completed in his role at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.
