Evan Cole is a research assistant professor in the department of health policy and management in the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh. He is also the research director of the Medicaid Research Center within the university’s Health Policy Institute. He has worked with state health policymakers over the last 12 years in both state- and grant-funded initiatives. His research often explores differences in health care access and outcomes within subgroups of Medicaid-enrolled populations on a wide range of topics, such as behavioral health care, the impact of social determinants of health, long-term care, and primary care delivery. Previously he has conducted Medicaid policy research as an associate project director at the Georgia Health Policy Center at Georgia State University, and as a Wisconsin Population Health Fellow at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
