Jackson Griggs, MD, FAAFP, is the chief executive officer of Waco Family Medicine Center, a 15-site federally qualified health center serving 60,000 patients in Central Texas. He serves as the president and designated institutional official of Waco Family Medicine Institute, which sponsors a top family medicine residency program and multiple fellowships. Dr. Griggs is a practicing physician whose career has focused exclusively on serving families experiencing poverty. His research has included topics in primary care, population health, and mental illness. Dr. Griggs serves on several local boards working to improve social determinants of health for those living in Central Texas.
