Jessye Halvorson, MPP, is a strategy & analytics consultant at Deloitte. She received her MPP from Duke University and her BA in global studies and interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to her time at Duke, Ms. Halvorson worked at the New York Alliance for Careers in Healthcare, New York City’s health care industry partnership to help build an effective health care workforce development system focused on diverse pipelines. She also spent two years with City Year New York as an AmeriCorps Member and Team Leader supporting students in a Queens middle school. Her health care interests include promoting health equity, addressing health and racial disparities, and prioritizing the need for value-based payment reform to ensure better quality and access to care in under resourced communities. Ms. Halvorson’s work on this publication occurred while she was a Margolis Scholar at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy.
