John Heintzman MD, MPH, is an associate professor of family medicine at Oregon Health and Science University, an affiliate investigator at OCHIN Inc, a non-profit health IT and equity organization, and co-director of the Primary Care Equity in Latinos (PRIMER) Center. Dr. Heintzman is a board-certified family physician, health equity researcher, and practicing community health center clinician. He received his MD from Temple University in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University in 2005. He started his research career formally with a Career Development Award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in 2012 to deliver preventive services to Latino immigrants in Oregon community health centers.
