Joshua M. Liao, MD, MSc, is an internal medicine physician and faculty in the University of Washington Schools of Medicine and Public Health. At UW, Joshua is also the associate chair for health systems and enterprise-level medical director for payment strategy. Joshua is a leading national expert on policy and practice transformation topics, including primary care payment and delivery, and serves as a range of national committees and advisory groups, including the Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Joshua completed residency at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where he was a clinical fellow in medicine at Harvard Medical School, and advanced policy training from the University of Pennsylvania.
