Karly Campbell, MPP, is the chief quality officer at TennCare, Tennessee’s Medicaid agency. At TennCare, Ms. Campbell leads the Quality Improvement team with primary accountability for implementing the TennCare Quality Strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality cost-effective care for all members. She manages the ongoing operations of TennCare’s value-based payment programs including Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) and Tennessee Health Link (THL). Additionally, she is the executive sponsor for the Health Starts Initiative including the development and implementation of a comprehensive TN social determinants of health (SDOH) strategy, improving health equity, and strengthening the nontraditional healthcare workforce.
Prior to joining TennCare, Ms. Campbell worked in Washington, DC, both in strategic communications at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and for the House of Representatives Committee on Science and Technology. Karly earned her master’s in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and her bachelor’s degree from Furman University. She is originally from Memphis and currently lives in Nashville with her husband and two young children.
