Lynn A. Blewett, PhD, MPA, is a professor in the Division of Health Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, where she teaches graduate courses on the US health care system and international health systems. In addition to being the founding director of the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC), Dr. Blewett has served as chair of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) Scientific Advisory Board and as a member of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS). Dr. Blewett has a committed history leading applied policy research, analyzing state and federal data resources, and translating research to inform health policy, access to care, Medicaid coverage, and payment policy at both state and national levels. Dr. Blewett holds a PhD in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota.
