State Senator, Illinois
Senator Gillespie represents Illinois’ 27th district. Since joining the General Assembly in January 2019, she has championed reforms in health care, affordable housing, career and technical education, ethics, and property taxes. She serves as chair of the Senate Women’s Caucus, the Senate Appropriations Committee for Health and Human Services, and on the Medicaid Working Group. Sen. Gillespie has worked as a health care consultant, vice president for CVS/Caremark, and as the general manager of a mail order pharmacy in Mount Prospect.
