Senior Advisor for Programs, The Commonwealth Fund
Anthony Shih, MD, MPH, is senior advisor for programs at the Commonwealth Fund. He is a physician executive who has held senior positions at many of the leading health policy nonprofit organizations in New York City. Shih has served as president and CEO of United Hospital Fund, executive vice president at the New York Academy of Medicine, and executive vice president for programs at the Commonwealth Fund. He was also chief strategic initiatives officer at Community Healthcare Network. He is a board member of the Milbank Memorial Fund and an adjunct clinical professor at the NYU School of Global Public Health. Board-certified in preventive medicine and public health, Shih earned a BA in economics from Amherst College; an MD from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine; and an MPH from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
