Ben Wormser is a pediatrician and public health leader who currently serves as the Medical Director of the Maternal & Child Health Bureau at Maryland Department of Health. In this role, Dr. Wormser directs statewide public health programs that range from the School-Based Health Center Program to the state’s Perinatal Quality Collaborative to substance use treatment facilities for pregnant and postpartum birthing people. He works to build partnerships that promote cross-sector collaborations, leads quality improvement initiatives that integrate community-based programs with clinical services, and supports policies that help keep children, families, and communities healthy and thriving across Maryland.
