Kina White, DrPH, has over 20 years of combined experience in public health, health care administration, patient safety and quality, and health policy. She is currently the Director of the Office of Community Health Improvement at the Mississippi State Department of Health. In this role, she oversees the Bureaus of Healthy Aging, Community and School Health, and Injury and Violence Prevention and prioritizes community-centered, data-driven approaches that advance health equity and improve health outcomes across the life course. While serving as the state lead for Trust for America’s Health’s Age-Friendly Public Health Systems Initiative, Dr. White led the agency to achieve exemplar status as the thirdAge-Friendly Public Health System in the United States. 

Kina serves on the National Rural Age-Friendly Initiative Interest Group, the National Center to Reframe Aging Advisory Board, and the Global Alzheimer’s Platform Inclusive Research Initiative (IRI) Advisory Committee.  She is a board-certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Regent for ACHE of Mississippi. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
