Mr. van Beek oversees the Bureau of Population Health, which is responsible for developing Idaho Medicaid’s population health strategy, implementing the state’s value care program, and the implementation of various quality–related projects. Prior to joining Medicaid, he led various public health programs in the Netherlands and at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, including the drug overdose prevention program and in the communicable disease prevention and surveillance section during the COVID-19 pandemic.
